Distribution

The Distribution feature lets you schedule and share available visualizations with different types of users—both inside and outside your organization. It does this by creating jobs, which are scheduled tasks that automate the delivery of reports or visualizations to specified recipients using various methods such as email, network drives, or external servers.

These jobs define what content is shared, who receives it, and when it runs, ensuring that the right information reaches the right people at the right time to support informed decision-making.

When to use distribution

  • Ensuring timely information: Make sure stakeholders receive the latest data and insights when they need them.
  • Automating efficiency: Save time and reduce manual effort by automating the process of report sharing.
  • Maintaining consistency: Ensure consistency in the information shared across the organization and display data correctly according to the security settings.
  • Improving accessibility: Provide data access to a wider audience.
  • Supporting compliance: Meet regulatory and compliance requirements by delivering reports regularly and systematically.
