The General tab in the Job Properties window is where you define the core information of a distribution job. These settings identify the job, record who created it, specify how it will be shared, and control whether the job is active.
You must complete this tab before you can save or activate the distribution job.

Options: - Export and Save on Network Drive – Requires a network path. Folders are created automatically for each user defined in the Users and Groups tab, and reports are saved using each user’s credentials. You can use global variables in the path; They are resolved based on the Admin context.
(e.g., \\SERVER\MonthlyReports\@@CurYear\@@CurMonth created folders such as 2023\6). Global variable names cannot end with a letter (A-Z, a-z), digit (0-9), or underscore (_). - Export and Email – Runs reports using each user’s credentials and sends them by email
- Export to External Location – Transfers reports to a remote server defined in the External Locations configuration. Each user’s reports are saved in their individual folder under the specified base directory.
