Reporting Trees in Distribution

Reporting trees let you distribute tailored reports to users or groups by leveraging business hierarchies—such as departments, regions, or cost centers—defined in your reporting tree. When you set up a distribution job, you can use the reporting tree to automatically generate and distribute filtered report versions, eliminating the need to build separate jobs or filters for each business unit.

When to use reporting trees in ditribution

  • Automating personalized report distribution: Send individualized reports to departments or business units without creating multiple jobs manually.
  • Simplifying mass reporting: Distribute dozens or hundreds of hierarchical report variations (e.g., one per branch, region, or manager) in a single distribution job.
  • Ensuring consistency: Guarantee that each recipient receives a report aligned with their level in your organization’s defined hierarchy, with no risk of manual filter errors.
