Import Excel Files as Workbooks

The Workbook Import feature lets you bring Excel files into the application. This allows you to continue using your existing Excel layouts while taking advantage of workbook features.

When to use the workbook import

  • Saving time: Reuse existing Excel reports without rebuilding them from scratch.
  • Preserving analysis: Maintain compatibility with Excel Add-in features that continue to work after import.
  • Simplifying sharing: Distribute workbooks across your organization more efficiently after import.

Supported Excel formats include:

  • .csv
  • .xlsm
  • .xlsx
  • .xltx

The import process automatically converts compatible Excel Add-in features to workbook equivalents. Some Excel features are not currently supported:

  • Reporting Tree
  • Wild card filtering
  • Prompts
