Configure Web Central Point Configurator

The Web Central Point Configurator allows you to modify your Central Point configuration—including settings for Description, SMTP, and Databases—even after SEI is installed. Use this tool when changes are needed, such as updating the SQL Server hosting the SEI database or adjusting the SMTP server for messaging.

The Web Central Point Configurator can be set up either for a Central Point hosted on your own infrastructure (on premise) or for a Central Point running in the cloud.

To install SEI, locate your installation folder and run either Nectari Web Central Point Configurator.exe or SEI Web Central Point Configurator.exe depending on the product name in your environment. Then follow the steps below for your setup.

Configuration steps

  1. Run the Nectari/SEI Web Central Point Configurator setup and click Next.
  2. Accept the License Agreement by selecting I accept the terms in the license agreement, then click Next.
  3. Enter the required configuration settings:
    • Port: Enter 8133 or another available port not in use.
    • Admin's Password: Set the administrator password for Web Central Point Configurator access.
  4. Indicate whether your Central Point is installed in the Cloud:
    • If Yes, enter application pool credentials for a Windows user with Write access to the server. This user should match the one used for the Scheduler API in Install SEI server.
    • If No, provide the path to your Central Point repository folder.
  5. Click Install to start the process.
  6. Click Finish once the installation is done.
