Strategy Backup

After deploying and configuring SEI, it’s essential to implement a robust backup strategy to protect your data and ensure business continuity.

You can often use a similar backup plan as your main data source, but always consult a technical specialist to tailor the approach to your specific environment.

SEI’s Central Point consists of two critical elements:

  • The Shared Folder
  • The SEI Database

Always back up both the Shared Folder and the SEI Database at the same time to ensure a consistent restore point.

Regularly back up your SEI Data Warehouse database, especially if:

  • The main data source database is too large for quick recovery or rebuilding
  • SEI Cubes retain historical data from external systems
