Internal Dictionary

Importing the internal dictionary lets you bring in detailed descriptions of Sage X3 HR Africa tables and fields. This makes it easier to work in the Data Model Designer and helps ensure field names and metadata are clear and accurate throughout your reports and analytics.

Keeping the dictionary up to date improves usability, reduces confusion, and ensures your documentation is consistent with your ERP system.

Update the internal dictionary

  1. In the navigation panel, select the gear icon to open Administration if you're not already there.
  2. Select Mapping Language Dictionaries.
  3. Click the Run Script button next to each script that matches your data source:
    • For SQL Server sources, run all scripts labeled SQL Server Only.
    • For Oracle sources, run all scripts labeled Oracle Only.
  4. Map the SEI Language code with your ERP language code by entering the reference in the Source Language column, taking case sensitivity into account.
For example, English is defined as en in SEI—while your ERP might use ENG or EN.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Select the environments where you created your data source, and for each, select the relevant database schema from the dropdowm list.
  7. Click Confirm.
In the Status column, you’ll see Running.
  8. While it's runnig, repeat steps 3–7 for each table and field as needed.
  9. After the script runs, verify results in the Status column:
    • Executed successfully for success
    • Executed with errors if problems occur
