Radar charts, also called spider or web charts, visualize multivariate data by plotting values around a central point. This format makes it easy to compare patterns, trends, and outliers across multiple categories. It helps reveal strengths, weaknesses, and overall balance when assessing performance, capabilities, or the distribution of resources.
Use radar charts to compare performance across metrics, highlight strengths and weaknesses, or analyze KPI balance across products, teams, or time periods.
Example use cases
- Sales channel performance: Compare monthly results across sales channels (online, retail, wholesale) for metrics like revenue, order volume, or conversion rate.
- Departmental budgeting: Show how departments allocate budgets across expense categories to spot over- or under-investment.
Radar Line and Spline types

Create a radar chart
- Select Data Models and Views from the navigation panel.
- Right-click the data model you want to use and select New View from the context menu.
- In the Select a View dialog, choose a radar chart type from the Radar category.
- Enter a Name for the view. To assign names in other languages, select the translation icon next to the text box.
- Select the fields you want to include for each section.
- (Optional) Toggle Sample Mode to preview the data using a sample dataset.
- Click Confirm. The new view opens with your initial settings.
- Customize the view by using the view organizer, content area, and Toolbar.
- In the Toolbar panel, select Save or Save As to save your changes.
