Gauges
Gauges are visual indicators that show a single value within a defined range. They make it easy to monitor progress toward a target or evaluate a metric against predefined thresholds. In business intelligence, gauges are often used on dashboards or summaries to assess KPIs, goals, or operational status at a glance. Gauges use color-coded zones to indicate whether a value is in an acceptable, warning, or critical range—supporting fast, real-time decisions.

- Quota achievement: Display sales or production progress toward a monthly or quarterly target.
- Capacity utilization: Monitor how much of your available inventory, resources, or system capacity is currently used.
Gauges types

Create a gauge
- Select Data Models and Views from the navigation panel.
- Right-click the data model you want to use and select New View from the context menu.
- In the Select a View dialog, select Gauge or Simple Gauge from the Misc category.
- Enter a Name for the view. To assign names in other languages, select the translation icon next to the text box.
- Select the fields you want to include for each section.
- (Optional) Toggle Sample Mode to preview the data using a sample dataset.
- Click Confirm. The new view opens with your initial settings.
- Customize the view by using the view organizer, content area, and Toolbar.
- In the Toolbar panel, select Save or Save As to save your changes.

| Scale indicates the value of | Select the field or measure that defines the full scale of the gauge (min and max values). |
